"190e30-Now with COSWORTH" (190e30)

So my birthday is this coming Friday. I'll be 17, and I asked for a combined (full family) gift of either a helmet for autocross or a dashcam. Both of those got shot down, and I have no idea what else I'd want. Price range isn't too specific, but try to keep it under or as close to $100 as possible please. Can be car related or not, either way. Thank yaw.

I know how you feel. I can never think of gifts for myself. That's why I keep an Amazon wishlist handy...

You're asking for help recommending a gift for yourself.
I've never been in this position before.

'05 - '08 Nissan Maxima struts for $60. You can use the $40 for a badass dinner.
Or, what twinturbo said. Which is what I'd do.

Let's be honest. This is the best idea. One $100 gift card.

Is there a reason that I'd want to put these on my Coupe? Not trying to seem like a dick, are they really that good? My OEM ones are pretty good as they are, not perfect but not too bad.

For whatever reason I'm incapable of thinking of gifts for myself. Great at finding them for others, can"t for myself at all.

Those are pretty sweet, and I do have a thing for sunglasses. I just got some Oakley Fast Jackets for my birthday last year as a combined gift, so I probably don't need them...
unfortunately.

Driving Shoes? You can usually find them for under $100 and they will help especially if you have big feet and/or a car where the pedals are close together.
Was it an issue of cost with the helmet? Summit or Jegs has some pretty cheap ones if you are just going to use it for auto x.

The shoes are a pretty good idea. I saw some oakley ones a while back that were like a hybrid between actual racing shoes and sneakers that seemed nice. Plus I wear a 12, so it wouldn't hurt.
My mom just kind of said no to the helmet. I questioned it, but the answer was still no.

I would go with the racing shoe, don't go with the hybrid. How often are you going to be wearing them anyway that you need the support of a real shoe?
